I recently attended an enjoyable evening at the Blue Room at the Lawn in Lincoln to celebrate Lincolnshire folklore. It was one of several evenings organised by Lincolnshire Heritage and showcased several Lincolnshire folk takes, told by the http://www.time-will-tell.co.uk/ and accompanied by mossy christian playing tunes on his melodeon. The event was part of the Lincolnshire Folk Tales Project, and there are still two more day and evening events to take place, one in Bourne and one in Grimsby, details of which are on the Lincolnshire Heritage site. On the evening I attended, we were regaled with stories of the Lincoln Imp, Greestone Steps and Byard’s Leap. There is also a future anthology being prepared.

I am a self-published writer of mixed genre short works, I have a fantasy novella out now, The Rue Stone is book 1 of 3 of The Dark Stranger series. I am also working on my first novel. This is set in the 13th century, in Lincoln, and is the story of Benedict, a young boy who arrives at Lincoln castle with a burning ambition to become the most famous minstrel of his age.
