The Secret of Secrets by Dan Brown

My rating: 4 of 5 stars


I liked this even though I wasn’t expecting to for some reason, and it made me want to visit Prague! I lost the plot in some places which I suppose I can be forgiven for as the subject matter can be quite high-brow, but I loved the interactions between Robert and Katherine, and how the legend of the Golem was used. Plenty of good strong characters, and the Secret of Secrets does stay with you after reading, so can’t ask for more really.

This is set in the 13th century, in Lincoln, and is the story of Benedict, a young boy who arrives at Lincoln castle with a burning ambition to become the most famous minstrel of his age.
