When you sign up to receive the free Heritage Interpretation Kit or otherwise subscribe to my mailing list, I collect:
- Your name (optional)
- Your email address
I do not collect any other personal information through this process.
Why I collect it
I use this data to:
- Send you the requested free resource (the Heritage Interpretation Kit)
- Send you a short welcome email sequence introducing my work
- Occasionally send further emails about heritage writing, my services, or related content, if you remain subscribed
Legal basis for processing
I rely on your consent, given when you submit your name and email through my signup form, as the legal basis for sending you marketing emails, in line with UK GDPR and PECR.
How your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed using MailerLite, an email marketing platform that acts as a data processor on my behalf. You can read MailerLite’s own privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.
How long I keep your data
I retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed to my mailing list. If you unsubscribe, your data is removed from active mailing lists, though MailerLite may retain minimal records as required for compliance purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data I hold about you
- Ask me to correct or delete it
- Withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing (a link is included in every email)
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled
